In 2016 the world of the ISDE travelled to Navarra in northern Spain.
With a mixture of flat lands and mountains this should have been a very good event but with only 6 different tests all week it did not quite live up to expectations. the Organisation could have been a little better considering they had a committee of experts to draw from.
However everybody had a good time and it was good to see the USA taking first place for the first time and Great Britain getting second on the podium for the first time in many years

The first week was spent in glorious sunshine getting the bikes ready, walking tests and going through technical inspection.
