2010 Saw the ISDE move to Mexico to a city called Morellia in the state of Michoacán. No British Teams competed this year as there was a fear that the area may have a lot of trouble with drug gangs etc, but the small contingent of Brits that did go to have a look found that the fears were unfounded and we have to say it was probably one of the best ISDE that we have been to, although it did not look good at first.
The evening before the start of the race it was hard to find your way around as there were very few signs or directions posted but as if by magic at 6am the next morning everything was in place and it turned out to be a very well run event.

The Opening Ceremony for the 2010 Six Days was a very elaborate affair with many thousands of people turning up to participate. It started with a long march through the main street right up to the Cathedral gates where there was a presentation by the Organisers followed by a fireworks display, then everyone involved in the event went off to a free buffet and drinks party. This was probably one of the best Opening Ceremonies that we have seen.
The Start Area and Parc Ferme were situated in a new shopping complex overlooking the city with fantastic views over the mountains.
