2014 saw the ISDE move to Argentina in South America. Great Britain decided not to send any riders this year which at first looked to be a bad idea as they had a very strong junior team. However it turned out possibly to be a good decision as the event was not the best Organised. The event was run by a team that had already run World Rounds and a world Rally Championship but their professionalism did not show through for the ISDE. Information was hard to come by and when you got it, it was sometimes too late. Thanks to Jake Miller of FIM for the road book, we would have been lost without it.
Situated in the town of San Juan the terrain was both rocky and sandy and riders suffered with the Heat. Although the event started on a cold cloudy morning by the second day it had warmed up and the weather soon reached 40 deg. the tests were either made up of hard rocky going or they were deep energy sapping sand
only 5 Brits managed to travel to San Juan but they were determined to have a good time.

On the way to the next test we found this section near to the main road, it was a rocky gully followed by a steep uphill. Some made it first time some did not.
