Second test first day a good mixture of grass fields woodland and shrub land. Probably the best test of the week.  Dust was starting to be a problem and it was only going to get worse as the week went on.

End of day service. Riders were glad to see the first day over and get their bikes ready for another hot day ahead. At this stage it became clear that a couple of Brit riders were missing but it was not easy to get info as to where they may be. Getting the right info became a problem during the week as it became apparent that the organisers were stretched to the limit.  Later that evening it had been announced that one of the Brit riders had lost his life out on the course. More on this later.

Day 2 started on a sombre note after the announcement of the death of Mikey Alti. Some of the riders wore black armbands as a mark of respect. But they new that they had another 5 days of hard riding.
Day 2 was a repeat of the day 1 course.

DAY 6    Final Motocross Today the riders went strait from the start to the final MX

The Final Moto Cross was staged on a site built especially for that day and was situated right next to the Parc Ferme. Although it looked a bit basic to start with it turned out to be a great spectacle with everyone enjoying the days racing.

AWARDS PRESENTATION

It would not be the six days without mentioning the Purple Helmets.

These are a bunch of riders that have formed a Stunt Display team and raise a lot of money for charity.
They also visit the ISDE most years to give a display at the final Motocross.

Many of the Team are also past ISDE competitors.

This year was a sad year for them as they lost one of their own
Mike Alty sadley lost his life while competing on the first day.
